If you have your own servers in place, and a good technical team to look after them, you may wish to install and maintain your Virtual Learning Environment, such as Moodle, locally.However, for some organisations this is not possible, while for others the initial set-up costs and the extra skills needed cannot be justified. So you can have your VLE hosted externally, including all the technical support and upgrades which will occur from time to time.
Hosting your VLE on a VLE Middleware server has the further advantage that it is already set up to be optimised for the VLE software and that other essentials such as backup systems are already in place.
Our basic hosting package for a VLE can be a very cost effective option and provides you with 20GB storage, which is sufficient for many small to medium sized organisations. Please let us know if you think you will require more space, or you have specific requirements.
